So I think I've confirmed my migraine trigger. After straining to read something for while (straining to the point where I actually noticed and really crappy yellow flourscentlight) I started experiencing the migraine aura. Luckily Excedrin Migraine works wonders with me, even preventing the painful headaches that typically follow.

So, aside from a reading light, is it time for either prescription or non-prescription reading glasses?

Maybe your wife can get you some for Father's Day? :-)

I am glad that Excedrin works for you, I take it and my migraines eat it for breakfast. =/

I have also found that the Frennel lenses that they put over the low wattage flourescents make diffraction patterns that I am not mentally aware of, but that give me major headaches.

I only clued in to that because I always came away from the laser light labs in HS and college with similar headaches.

Go for an incandescent light source if at all possible, that should help with the headaches.

yes! they trigger mine also, although i've never been sure whether it was the light, or the icky buzzing sound they make.

is that the only trigger you have, out of curiosity? i have a bunch...
