Look Mom I have a British accent

This is the video for the BBN fund raiser. I think the video is pretty cool.

Baby has left the Moma

Inae delivered the baby at 12:35 today at Newton Wellsley hospital. She would love visitors. Rm 508. Ill post specifics later but he's smaller than Julian

Interesting Observation

I accidentally changed the trip computer in my truck to metric. Miles per gallon was replaced with liters by 100km. I thought it was interesting that they report volume per distance as opposed to the other way around.

Meme in lieu of real content.

And I really don't want to re-price this proposal again.

Some might be accurate )

Karma

Newark adventure continued

Rental car for the day - Mustang converible (my female colleague only allowed me to have the top down on the way back to the airport. Something about not wanting big wind blown hair for the meeting)

Meeting. Successful but ran overtime. Typical for these guys.

Reschedule 7:30 flight (which took off on time) to 9pm. Too late foir Indian dinner in Oak Grove Village with Indian colleagues.

Get to the airport and find the flight is delayed until 10:10. Damn - could have had Indian food! We grab dinner in airpirt that is cut short because departure time is now 9:22. We board the flight and wait on an active taxi way. Estimate wheels up time 11pm. I should have drove home in the Mustang.

Flight karma is now back in balance

Wow

Reasonable traffic to the airport

No lines at the airport

Flight leaving on time

A window exit row seat with no one in the middle

This is too good. Either this afternoon's meeting is going to be a disaster or I'll be trapped on the runway for hours

Distracting

Having someone on a window washing rig doing repair work on your office window is very distracting. Not that I need a lot of help today.

One more meeting and I think I'm going to head out to the barn and ride. Sorry to say, I don't remember the last time I was able to ride on a non weekend day.

Possibly a first

Well I'm posting from a stuck elevator at work. Don't worry the elevator company is on its way and I'm pretty sure I on the lowest floor. Kind of funny I guess. That what I get for not walking two flight of stairs.

Oh well. Glad I ate the popcorn at 7pm.

Unfortunately I didn't bring my laptop and blackberry reception is spotty so at 30 minutes I'm getting a bit bored.

Edit. I'm out. A bored engineer isn't a good thing or maybe ok in this case

Enjoying Christmas through your kid

Sorry the picture was taken with a camera phone so the quality isn't so good.

Yee Ha

Of course, his Parrain B noticed he was having a trouble mounting and discounting. So Parrain B went into the wood shop and 15 minute later fit a new wood step. (see at the bottom). Are we surprised he loves the new toy?

Oh BTW - the hat is also a Christmas present from Parrain B and Aunt K.

Gotta be a first

Hopped an earlier flight from Newark. It left on time and landed early. I could get used to this

iTrip question

I looked into installing a iPod connection in my truck and its surprisingly expensive ( over $300 for parts and installation). I was thinking about trying one the iTrip FM transmitters. I'll primarily being using it for audio books so I'm not too worried about high definition sound quality. Any one have experience using one around the Boston- Rt 128 area? I've seen a couple of used ones on Craig's List for approx $20. Worth it?

Interesting Product Name

I think the product marketing group was smoking something when they named this product

Sign of a very long day

Sending out a meeting invite at 6:00pm for a 6:30pm meeting is not a good thing. And everyone accepted in 5 minutes.

And then there's a part of me that remembers that this was fairly common a year ago.

And believe it or not, we aren't a start up. Oh well, better go read the RFP estimates. :(

Just Saying

It's really unfortunate when a Program/Account Manager gets laryngitis and you get to croak at clients all day.
